This simple phrase is now the subtitle and mantra for my personal website.

Everything else seemed too narrow.

That's what I'll be writing about here: starting with what I'm doing for my own surgical education, to keeping track of the ever-expanding medical knowledge base, to teaching the future generations how to be safe and effective surgeons.

In particular, I am especially interested in:

• Low-fidelity surgical task simulators
• Intraoperative video capture
• Computer vision algorithms to assess surgical skill
